Architecture Adam Herberg and Justin Petersburg joined Esterly, Schneider & Associates Inc. as project designers. Herberg received a master’s in architecture from the University of Kansas, and Petersburg earned a bachelor’s in architecture from Drury University.
Education The hybrid certified nurse assistant program at Ozarks Technical Community College received the 2011 Missouri Community College Association’s Technology Innovation Award. The program allows students to become certified nursing assistants with 50 hours of online coursework and 25 classroom hours as well as 100 hours of clinical work.
Missouri State University Men’s Soccer Coach Jon Leamy received the annual Greg Onstot Outstanding Achievement Award. The honor came with a $1,200 cash award from the Missouri State Foundation. Recipients are selected for contributions to MSU’s development and alumni relations.
Health Care CoxHealth promoted Amanda Hedgpeth to assistant vice president from director of budget management. She develops and manages the budget process and is responsible for high-level administrative projects. Hedgpeth, who earned both her bachelor’s in accounting and master’s in administration from MSU, joined CoxHealth in 2005.
Hospitality The Green Building Certification Institute awarded Houlihan’s South Springfield the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Gold certification, as established by the U.S. Green Building Council. The restaurant utilizes solar panels on its roof, a solar wall that serves as a heat exchange and high-efficiency water and light fixtures.
Law Law partners Dee Wampler and Joe Passanise were listed among the Top 100 Lawyers in Missouri and Kansas by Super Lawyers, a Thompson Reuters rating service. Wampler and Passanise were selected out of 50,000 attorneys in the two-state region. This is their third year to receive the honor.
Baird, Lightner, Millsap & Harpool PC partner Doug Harpool was one of four attorneys nationwide recognized by Meadowbrook Insurance Group for successful records in jury trial in employment law, civil rights and personal injury cases. Harpool was selected from more than 100 attorneys who represent the insurance provider.
Nonprofit Taney County employment workshop Tantone Industries Inc. promoted Sarah Baty to general manager from assistant manager. Tantone also named Heather Ivie production manager and Kim Connell director of sales and community development, a new position.
Amy Rinne, a business analyst with Tracker Marine Group, was named a board member of Champion Athletes of the Ozarks.
