St. Louis-based USA Mortgage opened its ninth branch on Sept. 1 at 1717 E. Republic Road, Ste. D. The 2,100-square-foot Springfield branch employs two loan officers and two support staff, said branch manager Steve Wagner, who co-owned Brown and Wagner Mortgage in Springfield until it was absorbed by Liberty Mortgage in 2009. Wagner declined to disclose lease terms. USA Mortgage, a subsidiary of DAS Acquisition Co. LLC, offers mortgage and conventional loans, Veterans Affairs loans, Federal Housing Administration loans and Housing and Urban Development 203(k) acquisition and rehabilitation loans. Wagner said the federal 203(k) program allows home purchases with as little as 3.5 percent down and finances certain repairs such as painting and room and deck additions. Dynamic Body LLC
Lindsay French almost quadrupled the size of her Dynamic Body LLC exercise studio with a mid-July move to 3464 S. Campbell Ave. French is leasing 5,000 square feet for about $3,400 a month through New O’Reilly Investments, she said. Dynamic Body previously operated from 1,300 square feet in Green Circle Shopping Center on Republic Road. Relocation and renovation costs to the freestanding site were roughly $100,000, she said. Dynamic Body employs 16 and offers Pilates, yoga and gyrotonic classes and equipment, as well as massage therapy. Pilates and gyrotonic classes are sold in packages: four classes for $100, 10 classes for $225 and 30 classes for $600. Yoga classes cost $99 for a one-month unlimited membership, with discounts for three- and six-month memberships. Hours: By appointment, but group sessions run from about 6:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. daily. Social Suppers
On Sept. 15, Dawn Cosby purchased and relocated Springfield’s Social Suppers store to 2936 E. Sunshine St., Ste. A, in Southern Hills Shopping Center. Previous owner Kristin Young operated Social Suppers at 3655 E. Sunshine St. and closed it in May, said Cosby, noting the franchise company recently switched to an individually owned store model. Social Suppers provides preassembled meals that can be cooked at home and purchased online. Entrees serve two-to-three or four-to-six people.
