What do a low-profile outdoor retail executive and a celebrity real estate developer have in common? They’re both worth an estimated $4.1 billion.
That’s according to Forbes’
annual list of the richest people in the world, released this morning.
Bass Pro Shops founder and CEO John Morris and Donald Trump, a developer who also has has become a public personality and household name, both rank at No. 405 on Forbes’ list.
Morris and Trump have competition at the 405th spot. Others with a $4.1 billion net worth are:
- Martha Ingram and family of U.S. marine transportation and content distribution services company Ingram Industries Inc.;
- David Shaw of U.S. hedge fund D.E. Shaw & Co.;
- Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer, a member of the Saudi royal family and founder of dairy company Almarai;
- Benu Gopal Bangur, an Indian man who made his wealth through Shree Cements;
- Patrizio Bertelli, the Italian fashion design and entrepreneur behind Prada;
- David Consunji, a construction mogul from the Philippines;
- Frits Goldschmeding of the Netherlands, who made the bulk of his wealth through global temporary staffing company Randstad Holding;
- Barry Lam, the Taiwanese founder of Quanta Computer;
- Miuccia Prada, co-CEO of Prada;
- Mark Scheinberg, a Canadian businessman and co-founder of PokerStars; and
- Zhang Shiping, of China, who chairs aluminum alloy producer China Hongqiao Group.
Morris, 66, dropped 30 spots from his 2014 rank. He also is the 133rd richest person in the U.S., according to his
Forbes profile.
Retaining the No. 1 spot is Bill Gates, who has a net worth of $79.2 billion, following by No. 2 Carlos Slim Helu, with a net worth of $77.1 billion, and No. 3 Warren Buffet, who is worth $72.7 billion, according to Forbes.[[In-content Ad]]
