Branson startup launches Kickstarter for real estate signs

Posted online
A Branson startup today launched a crowdfunding campaign via Kickstarter.com for a collapsible outdoor sign idea.

Launched by Tubular Signs LLC, the campaign, which as of 11:15 a.m. had gained five backers pledging $389 toward a $50,000 goal, calls for signs designed for the real estate industry, as well as election campaigns and other uses.

The patent-pending design weighs about four pounds, features no nuts and bolts, is free of rust and is made to be easy to set up, according to its Kickstarter page.

“Traditional metal yard signs are heavy, awkward to carry, scratch vehicles, difficult to hammer in the ground and take lots of storage space,” Tubular Signs co-founder and CEO Ken Coleman wrote on the Kickstarter page.

Coleman has served as business development and marketing director for Killian Construction Co. since April 2012, and was owner of Coleman & Co. Realty for over 35 years in Branson, according to his LinkedIn page. He co-founded Tubular Signs with engineer Russell Smith.
