Jalilis to open third restaurant in Galloway Village

Posted online
The Jalili family is planning an early 2016 opening for their third restaurant in Galloway Village.

Tentatively dubbed Chops at Galloway, the one-floor, 7,000-square-foot building is being built from the ground up on Lone Pine Avenue just south of the Township 28 apartment complex under development, said co-owner Mike Jalili.

“It’s been on our mind for years to open up another steakhouse on the south side,” he said, noting the goal is to open the new restaurant by February 2016. “It won’t be 100 percent like Flame, but it will be very similar. As well as it does, a lot of people are hesitant to go downtown.”

During an April 2014 City Council meeting, Billy Jalili, who co-owns Touch and Flame restaurants, spoke in favor of Sam M. Coryell’s Township 28 receiving incentives for blight, saying the Jalilis were considering buying property in the redevelopment area for a restaurant site.

Mike Jalili said they purchased the property about a year ago and demolished a vacant concrete building to make way for the restaurant.[[In-content Ad]]
