National Enzyme Co. owner Tony Collier promoted his chief operating officer to president.
Charlie Amidon, who will continue to serve as COO, started as president yesterday, said NEC spokeswoman Jennifer Brown. In the position, he succeeds Collier, who maintains ownership of the company but stepped down from the president’s role for undisclosed reasons, Brown said. Collier could not be reached for comment by deadline.
Amidon was hired five years ago as COO for the 103-employee Forsyth company that produces custom enzyme formulas including dietary supplements for humans and animals.
“I am truly honored by Tony's confidence in my abilities and I'm grateful for this opportunity,” Amidon said in a news release.
Amidon is credited with launching new products, building the NEC team and promoting growth.
“Charlie has done a phenomenal job in his current position,” Brown said.[[In-content Ad]]
