Branson Airport is adding another nonstop destination this spring.
Passengers will be able to fly direct from Branson to Denver four days a week beginning April 20, airport officials said Thursday.
Frontier Airlines is adding seven new destinations, including Branson, to and from its hub at Denver International Airport. Tickets for the new routes will be available on the company's Web site, www.frontierairlines.com, on Feb. 14, the airline announced.
With the new service to Denver, Branson Airport passengers will have one-stop access to an additional 50 cities that connect through Denver, according to an airport news release. AirTran Airways currently offers direct service to Atlanta and to Orlando, Fla., and airport officials have said that Sun Country Airlines will resume its service to the airport in the spring.
"With our airport now being serviced by Frontier and AirTran Airways over 100 cities can access this great destination from around the country," Branson Airport Executive Director Jeff Bourk said in the release. "We are also excited that the local community can now access both of these great low cost networks to places all over the country.”
Flights to and from Denver, on E190 aircraft that seat roughly 100, are scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
