Arkansas-based Arvest Bank has completed its acquisition of three Harrington Bank branches in the Kansas City area, Arvest announced Monday.
The acquisition, which includes three branch locations, three automated teller machines and approximately $100 million in total assets, marks Arvest's first move into the Kansas City area.
The new branches are in Mission, Overland Park and Olathe, Kan., and Arvest is developing plans for future expansion in the Kansas City area, according to a bank news release.
"I would say (the transition) was as smooth as we could ask for," Arvest Executive Vice President and Regional Manager Brad Krieger said in the release. "Once you've successfully done this a few times, it gets more familiar and less daunting of a task. As a bank, Arvest has a history of coming into a market with an initial acquisition like this and then growing."
Arvest Bank has more than 220 locations in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas, including three in the Springfield metro area, and total assets of $10.6 billion.
