Wichita, Kansas-based Select Homes - Team Real Estate entered the Springfield market with an opening on the south side.
The 1309 E. Republic Road office is the real estate company’s sixth.
Springfield team leader David Johnson launched the office as a partner. Last year, he worked as an independent agent through Coldwell Banker and upon joining Select Homes, brought his three agents with him. He hired seven additional agents for the Springfield office.
Johnson said Select Homes emphasizes a team-based approach where employees are assigned to each step in the selling process, and all real estate agents work full-time. The company also has in-house marketing and advertising, as well as training and coaching for agents. The company employs over 50 agents, according to its
website.
Johnson said he sold $20 million worth of homes last year, and projects he will double that number to $40 million this year at Select Homes.
Select Homes plans to expand to 15 corporate offices during the next three years, according to a news release. Johnson noted local franchising opportunities may be available in the future.
“This is the first of three offices in southern Missouri to be opened during the next 24 months,” Select Homes President Mike Grbic said in the release. “We’re planning offices in Joplin, as well as one to serve the Branson/Ozark lakes region.”
