JQH Hotels exec named new VP

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts promoted an executive inside the company to one of its eight vice president positions.

Patrick Blache, the company’s former corporate senior director of information technology, moved into the role of vice president of IT working out of Springfield, according to a news release. A spokeswoman could not be reached for comment by deadline regarding the former IT vice president.

In the position, Blache is responsible for the company’s IT functions across 35 hotels and more than 1 million square feet of meeting space.

“Patrick has proven to be a talented strategist and leader as he has guided JQH through the necessary investments in bandwidth and infrastructure to ensure heightened service at JQH’s thousands of guest rooms and expansive meeting spaces nationwide,” said Christopher Smith, JQH’s senior vice president of administration and control, in the release.

Blache has worked for JQH since 2015. He has past experience as director of technical services for Catholic Health Initiatives in Denver and as systems engineer for Acxiom Corp. in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Under the leadership of CEO Jacquie Dowdy, JQH Hotels has eight vice presidents responsible for operations; legal; administration and control; sales and revenue optimization; human resources; capital planning and asset management; food and beverage; and IT, according to its website.
