40-plus employers seek thousands of hires

The Missouri Job Center and Ozark Region Workforce Development Board are working with more than 40 employers this week seeking thousands of hires.

Combined, the companies have over 2,730 jobs to fill. Forty employers will be part of a 1-4 p.m. event Thursday at the job center’s main office, 2900 E. Sunshine St. The group also is hosting events at Chase Card Services’ 303 E. Republic Road call center, an event in Branson, as well as a separate event in Springfield on Friday for Sperry Rail Service, according to a news release.

Mercy Springfield Communities is seeking the most employees tomorrow, at over 390. The jobs including registered nurses, paramedics, physicians, environmental service technicians and supply chain internships. In August, Mercy hosted a hiring event for 550 employees that included nursing, patient care, therapy, clerical, laboratory, pharmacy, environmental services and food services.

    •    37: CoxHealth;
    •    34 apiece: Kelly Services and Manpower;
    •    23: Alternative Energy Construction;
    •    20 apiece: Sperry Rail Service and Z-Buyer;
    •    15: DHL Supply Chain/Exel;
    •    14: TruGreen;
    •    13: TCSI-Transland;
    •    12: City of Springfield;
    •    11 apiece: Communication Solutions and Redneck Trailers;
    •    10 apiece: Human Resource Staffing, Red Monkey and Positronic;
    •    7: Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center;
    •    6: ABEC;
    •    5 apiece: Preferred Family Healthcare and Reliable Chevrolet;
    •    4: Oxford HealthCare;
    •    3 apiece: Advantage Nursing, HydroClean, Paul Davis Restoration and Poor Boy Tree Service;
    •    2: Reckitt Benckiser;
    •    1 apiece: Buckhorn, Easy Living, Penmac and The Arc of the Ozarks; and
    •    Undisclosed: Emery Sapp & Sons, Rich Kramer Construction, SRC and Welk Resorts.
