Economic Impact Awards: Innovator of the Year Category

The Innovator of the Year Award is designed to honor those companies and/or individuals who have introduced and employed a new idea, method or device in such a way that it has created a new and positive dimension for performance. Specific innovations may be linked to improvements in efficiency, productivity, quality, service, competitive positioning, or market share, etc.

The SBJ Innovator of the Year will be judged on the basis of his or her answers to four essay questions which detail the following:

• challenges which were met and mastered;

• impact of the particular innovation with regard to the industry it evolved in, the nominee's business, and the local community;

• originality of the innovation; and

• how the innovation has added value for the customer or has improved their life in some way.

• Qualified nominees are companies with a physical location in the SBJ coverage area, which includes a 50-mile radius of Springfield.[[In-content Ad]]
