SBJ to honor 17th class of area's Most Influential Women

For almost two decades, Springfield Business Journal has honored women for their accomplishments in southwest Missouri and this 17th-annual class of Most Influential Women brings the count to 340 professionals.

The award recognizes the careers, civic leadership and influence of 20 women chosen by an independent panel of judges. The ladies will be honored during an Oct. 14 luncheon.

The 2016 Most Influential Women honorees, in alphabetical order, are: Karen Best, city of Branson; Laura Boyd, Bolivar R-1 School District; Tamara de Wild, O’Reilly Automotive Inc.; Rebecca Donaldson, Springfield Public Schools; Jennifer Edwards, Decoding Dyslexia Missouri; Gloria Galanes, Missouri State University; Michelle Goldsberry, PSC Accounting and Tax Service LLC; Devra Gower, Connell Insurance Inc.; Denise LeBolt, Homemade. Delivered. LLC; Ruby Martinez, Tuning Element LLC; Lisa McIntire, Pregnancy Care Center; Dr. Shelly Meents, Bolivar OB/GYN, a division of Signature Medical Group Inc.; Tina Moore, Evangel University; Jamie Raab, Greene County Juvenile Office; Linda Ramey-Greiwe, Care to Learn; Jennifer Rothschild, Jennifer Rothschild Ministries; Dr. Melinda Slack, Pediatrix Medical Group and Mercy Kids Springfield; Stephanie Weis, BKD LLP; Kathy Whitworth, Nixa Public Schools; and Patty Quessenberry, retired from Kraft Foods.

The Most Influential Women luncheon will begin with a silent auction at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 14 at University Plaza Hotel Convention Center, 333 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway.

Springfield Business Journal has partnered with Springfield not-for-profit Women in Need for the event in an effort to raise money and help provide resources to enable women and provide a hand up.
