Melinda Burrows
, executive chef at Hickory Hills Country Club, earned the certified executive chef designation from the American Culinary Federation, recognizing a high level of commitment to quality food service. Burrows completed written and practical exams. She has 32 years of restaurant and hospitality experience, including time spent as a personal/traveling chef for Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, INXS and Guns & Roses.

Chef Nathan Frazo with Missouri State Dining Services was awarded the highest honors during the Springfield/Branson Taste of Elegance culinary competition. Chef Kevin Mueller of Aviary Cafe and Creperie LLC placed second and received the People’s Choice Award. Third place went to chef Aaron Gregory with Fire & Ice Restaurant and Bar.

Finance
Principal Financial Group selected Evangel University senior marketing major Olivia Gorman to participate in its Leadership Development Program for 2017. She was one of four chosen out of 300 applicants nationwide for the three-year program, which provides full-time pay and benefits, mentorships with senior managers, participation in earnings call debriefs and multiple rotations in several areas of the company.

Health Care
Mercy Springfield Communities named Dr. Robert Cavagnol chief physician officer. Specializing in general and breast surgeries, he most recently served as Mercy’s vice president of surgery.

Dr. James Duff took the role of chief medical officer for Cox Medical Center Branson. He has worked in leadership positions at CoxHealth, Mercy and Jordan Valley Community Health Center and earned his medical education at University of Missouri School of Medicine.
 
Mercy Springfield Communities added nine doctors: Tina Loven in neurosurgery, Marcia Hernandez in women’s oncology, Michael Bauer in sports and occupational medicine, Richard Seagrave III in orthopedics, Jennifer Wolf in obstetrics and gynecology, Benjamin Hodnett and Christina Mimikos in otolaryngology, Anne Colvin in child psychology and Nathan Tonlaar in radiation oncology.

Insurance
Ollis/Akers/Arney adviser Jeff Eiserman was selected for Insurance Business America’s 2017 Hot 100 professionals in the industry. He specializes in cyber liability.

Nonprofit
Dickerson Park Zoo hired Chelsea Hoover as events coordinator and volunteer manager. With a bachelor’s in biology and an associate degree in organizational leadership from Drury University, Hoover has experience volunteering as a docent and ambassador at the zoo, as well as 10 years of experience with Jack Henry & Associates Inc.

Services
AmeriPride Services promoted Customer Operations Manager Jay Rasmussen to general manager of the Springfield branch. He succeeds Brett Wooden, who relocated to Idaho. Rasmussen, a longtime employee of AmeriPride, has fiscal and operational oversight of the branch and affiliated service centers.
