Project description: Kum & Go District Supervisor Tim McCaleb said due to an aging building and limited square footage, the West Des Moines, Iowa-based chain is relocating and replacing a smaller store. The 425 N. West Bypass store is moving kitty-corner to the former site of Cliff’s Auto Sales. The new Marketplace store design introduced earlier this year will offer eight gas dispensers, as well as fresh food, including made-to-order pizzas and sandwiches. Intended to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards, the store will have LED lighting and low-flow water fixtures. It is one of four Kum & Go stores underway in the Springfield area.
