2017 40 Under 40 Honoree: Tasheena Morris, 30

Posted online
She’s a state record-setting athlete, entrepreneur twice over, software analyst, adjunct instructor and a residential landlord. Talk about diversified.

That’s Tasheena Morris, aka Tag. By day she’s an oncology software analyst for IntrinsiQ, a division of Fortune 12 company AmerisourceBergen Corp. (NYSE: ABC), and she runs her own vending machine company, Tag Along Vending LLC. Morris readily shares her vast experiences and has taught over 130 college courses since earning a master’s degree in organizational leadership. Did we mention Morris is a member of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame for her basketball career? Yep, she’s smooth with the crossover, too.

What was your first job? My father had an air conditioning business and I helped him during the summers.

What was your professional “aha” moment? The first time I executed one of my business plans to start my own business. At that point I realized the importance of planning and executing a plan to achieve success.

What do you miss most about the 1990s? I remember having a Game Boy that had an awesome racing game on it.

What about your job would shock clients? I have a software job, so I think most people think I am glued to a computer all day. That is not accurate. Most of my day is spent communicating with clients or my internal team.
