The Bank of Missouri hired Shane Strahl as senior vice president and commercial lender, and Tim Friel as assistant vice president and commercial loan officer. Strahl and Friel have a combined 44 years of banking and lending experience.

Central Bank of the Ozarks appointed Kayla Jones as branch manager of the North Kansas Expressway branch and added Kevin Casey as a mortgage loan officer. Jones has worked four years at the bank and has 11 years of banking experience. Casey has 12 years of mortgage and banking experience and holds licenses in real estate and financial securities.

Central Bank also promoted three-year employee Brandon Dennis to mortgage loan officer and 13-year industry veteran Claudia Krebaum to banking center manager at the Hammons Tower branch.

Central Trust Co. hired Peter Harris as vice president and portfolio manager. He has 10 years of experience in financial services, working as a personal, mortgage, and private banker and investment consultant for corporate retirement plans and high net worth individuals.

Systematic Savings Bank hired D.J. Robertson as senior vice president, Terri Snow and Deborah Bellotti as vice presidents of mortgage lending, and Holly Holmes as an assistant loan officer.

April Medina, a human resources representative for Central Bank, passed the Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional Exam. She’s worked for the bank since 2003 and in HR since 2008.

Entertainment
GigSalad
received the 2017 When Work Works Award for exemplary workplace practices. A project of the Society for Human Resource Management, the national initiative intends to motivate employers to create effective and flexible workplaces.

Health Care
The Missouri Nurses Foundation presented Branson Cox Medical Center’s Brady Chase with the 2017 Early Career Nurse Innovator Award for contributions to the nursing profession and remarkable qualities as an emerging leader.

Insurance
Ollis/Akers/Arney hired Joe Gaunt as a client service specialist and Caleb Johnson as an adviser. A graduate of Missouri State University, Gaunt previously worked for Philadelphia Insurance Co. as an underwriting supervisor. Johnson has worked as an executive bank recruiter and in the insurance industry the past two years.

Interior Design
Annie Hardison, Jaden Bracht, Mykayla Thompson and Lisa Gaunt of Grooms Office Environments completed the Living Office Placemaking workshop helping designers ensure their customers understand and can identify changing workplace activities.

Law
Springfield Police Department Lt. Fred Beck graduated from the Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation Command College Class VII. The college provides Missouri law enforcement leaders with advanced command level training.

Missouri Lawyers Weekly named Ozarks Elder Law shareholder Lori Rook as a Rising Star as part of its annual Women’s Justice Awards. The honor is given to women under 40 who have made a difference in the justice profession in their first 10 years of practice.

Media
IHeart Media-Springfield added Linda Merkling to the sales team. She has 15 years of media marketing experience, most recently working on a revitalization project for Branson’s Starlite Theater.
