Banking & Finance
The Missouri Bankers Association installed Guaranty Bank President and CEO Shaun Burke as chairman-elect during its 127th annual convention in Branson. Also, the MBA selected Guaranty Bank’s Will Cologna, vice president of product solutions, to the Banking Leadership Missouri class. 

Bank of Billings hired Bradley Roam as a lender and vice president and Andrew Buckler as a lender and assistant vice president. Roam has 22 years of experience in lending and Buckler has worked in lending for 10 years. Bank of Billings promoted Aaron Allen to vice president. He has worked for the bank for three years as a lender. 

Shelby Williams joined Thrivent Financial’s Kansas and Missouri regional financial offices as a financial representative. He previously worked at JBC Tire Goodyear and John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts.

BKD LLP honored Lindsay Dale, a manager in the Springfield office, and Wally Wetherill, a partner at the Fort Wayne, Indiana office, with its 2017 PRIDE Awards. The award is given yearly to an employee who exemplifies the firm’s values: passion, respect, integrity, discipline and excellence. 

Construction
Nesbitt Construction Inc. promoted Michael Nesbitt to president from vice president. With the company since 2003, he succeeds his father, Bill, who continues working for the company on a regular basis.

Government
The Mayor’s Commission for Children appointed Brigitte Marrs as executive director. A board member since 2013, she succeeds Denise Bredfeldt. Marrs began her career as a remedial reading instructor and kindergarten teacher for Jefferson City Public Schools and now holds lifetime teaching and administrator certificates in special education, special reading and elementary education.

Health Care
CoxHealth
was recognized as a Most Wired hospital in the 2017 Health Care’s Most Wired Survey by the American Hospital Association’s health forum. The survey measures how hospitals across the country are adopting information technology to improve care.

Samantha Goodall joined Command Family Medicine as a nurse practitioner. She is on track to graduate from Missouri State University with a doctorate in nursing next year. Goodall most recently worked as an assistant clinical professor in MSU’s teaching in nurse practitioner program and as a family nurse practitioner for Mercy Springfield Community Clinics.

After a nationwide search, Cox College hired Amy DeMelo as president. She has served as the college’s vice president for academic affairs since 2014, and now she’s focused on increasing enrollment. 

Hospitality
Branson’s Chateau on the Lake, Resort Spa & Convention Center added Gayla Welsh and Jessica Wrenfrow to its sales team. Welsh, a 25-year hospitality industry veteran, is corporate sales manager, and Wrenfrow, who previously served as a hospitality services instructor at Arkansas State University, is event sales manager.
