was selected for Missouri State University’s 21st honorary doctorate, to be awarded during its May commencement.

Lampe is deputy director of Care to Learn, a co-creator of the Wings program for gifted students in Springfield Public Schools and chairwoman of the Missouri Commission on Human Rights.

Seven attorneys from Lathrop & Gage LLP’s Springfield office were named in the 2017 Best Lawyers in America: Dan Nelson, in bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization law; Dwayne Fulk, in corporate law; Frank Evans III, in commercial litigation; James Meadows, in appellate practice and litigation-real estate; Joseph Reid, in litigation-health care; Michael Textor, in construction and real estate law; and Randell Wallace, in banking and finance law, land use and zoning law, and real estate law.

International Dehydrated Foods Inc., American Dehydrated Foods Inc. and IsoNova Technologies LLC named Kurt Hellweg executive vice president of strategic planning and chairman of the board, and promoted Andrew Herr to CEO. Hellweg previously served as CEO of the Darr family of companies, where he’s worked since 1987. He also served as an aviator officer in the U.S. Navy for seven years. Herr joined the companies in 2014 and has served as chief strategy officer for the entities and as president for IsoNova.

Springfield
ranked 53rd out of 200 cities on the Milken Institute Best-Performing Cities’ list. The index ranks U.S. cities on creating and sustaining jobs and economic growth.

Nonprofit
Kids Across America hired Eric Williams as lead director/executive director for the camp for children ages 12-14. With a bachelor’s in business management from Arkansas Tech University, Williams has 20 years of experience in youth ministry, including Christian camping leadership.

Aaron Owen, general manager of the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, graduated from the Institute of Fair Management through the International Association of Fairs & Expositions. Comprising 36 short courses, the education and training covers core competencies in today’s fairs.

American Red Cross of Southern Missouri named Jennifer Dierks as volunteer specialist. From the Springfield office, she supports volunteer outreach and recruitment for the chapter’s 29 counties. Dierks has experience as an emergency medical technician at CoxHealth and as a recruiter for JTP EMS in Houston, Texas.

Gold Mountain Communications hired John Zambuto as vice president of sales. He holds a bachelor’s in political science and an MBA from MSU. He previously served in as a senior consultant at EPIC Connections Inc., a national brand in Omaha, Nebraska.

Mark Grabowski
was appointed the 2017 assistant regional vice president for Asis International, an organization for security professionals. He has served as Southwest Baptist University’s director of safety and security since 1991 and as chairman of Asis’ Ozarks chapter the last two years.

Brian Brown
joined Rivermonte Memorial Gardens at Kligner-Cope Family Funeral Home as a family service adviser. Brown, who holds a bachelor’s in print journalism from Missouri State University, previously worked for six years as a reporter for Springfield Business Journal.
