O’Reilly Hospitality opens Texas hotel

Posted online
O’Reilly Hospitality Management LLC today opened a hotel in McAllen, Texas, in partnership with three other companies.

The four-story Cambria Hotel & Suites has 121 suites and 2,300 square feet of meeting space designed by Springfield-based Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc.

The hotel is a joint venture between O’Reilly Hospitality, Choice Hotels International Inc. (NYSE: CHH), Florida-based Fulcrum Management and Pennsylvania-based Hankin Enterprises, according to a news release.

Officials say McAllen has had a population boom in recent years as a hub of health care and trade with Mexico. The McAllen metro area’s population growth to over 800,000 makes it the fifth-largest metropolitan statistical area in Texas, according to RioGrandeGuardian.com.

“We are entering a market with a vibrant economy and a very bright future,” O’Reilly Hospitality CEO Tim O’Reilly said in the release.

O’Reilly Hospitality also operates a Cambria property in Plano, Texas, and is slated to open a third Lone Star State property this year. The Springfield company’s 318-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center is scheduled to open in November, according to the company’s website.
