St. Louis-based senior living community developer ClearPath Senior Holdings LLC is scheduled to break ground today on a $7.2 million center in Monett.

Officials are scheduled to meet at 1 p.m. today at the 1011 Old Airport Road site to ceremonially launch the development. Along with ClearPath and St. Louis general contractor ARCO Construction Co. Inc. officials, Monett Mayor James Orr and Monett Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jeff Meredith are slated to be in attendance, according to a news release.

Dubbed Oak Pointe of Monett, the complex would comprise 46 apartments in a 37,000-square-foot, one-floor structure. Of the units, 33 would be dedicated to assisted living and 13 would be memory care spaces. Launched in July, the construction project is expected to wrap up next summer.

The private-pay project is one of three under development by ClearPath, which also is building similar projects in Neosho and Carthage. When complete, the centers would mark six for ClearPath in Missouri, according to a news release.

“Now, the residents of Monett, Carthage and Neosho will have the opportunity to remain a part of their communities while living in an environment that is 100 percent focused on their care,” ClearPath co-founder Jeff Binder said in the release.

Expected to bring 40 new jobs to Monett, Oak Pointe would have a mix of studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments. It would also have a storm shelter constructed with reinforced concrete, masonry and structural steel.
