Whole Foods is betting big on urban millennials with its new store concept.
Its first 365 by Whole Foods Market store is scheduled to open today in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. Two more are opening in the Pacific Northwest later this year, and another 10 are scheduled to launched in 2017.
The 365 stores are smaller than regular Whole Foods supermarkets and will be mostly based in cities. The Los Angeles store includes a craft brew bar for hot coffee and cold beer, as well as a self-serve tea kiosk and a vegan restaurant.
