Japan's Toyota Motor Corp. recalled 3.4 million cars worldwide over possible defective airbags and emissions control units.
Some of the company's gasoline-electric hybrid Prius models have both of the issues.
Airbag recalls are for Prius models and Lexus CT200h cars made from 2010 to 2012. Vehicles with possible evaporative fuel emissions control units were produced from 2006 to 2015, including the Prius, Auris compact hatchback and its popular Corolla.
