Oscar winner Alicia Vikander has been cast as the leading lady in the reboot of "Tomb Raider," a film based off the popular video game series.
Vikander recently won best supporting actress award for "The Danish Girl."
She succeeds Angelina Jolie, who played the British archaeologist in two films: 2001's "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" and 2003's "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life."
