KU Medical Center breaks ground on $75M education building

The University of Kansas Medical Center will broke ground Thursday on a $75 million health education building at its Kansas City, Kan., campus.

McCownGordon Construction LLC is slated to formally begin construction on the five-story, nearly 170,000-square-foot building by mid-September. It's slated for completion by fall 2017.

The project is being funded by $25 million in state bonds, $15 million from the KU Medical Center and $37.3 million in private gifts.
