Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai on Wednesday rolled out plans to limit the agency's oversight of internet service providers.
That means potentially weakening net neutrality rules. Approved the by FCC in 2015, the rules prevent ISPs from picking favorites by speeding up or slowing down traffic for specific websites or apps.
"Two years ago, I warned that we were making a serious mistake," Pai said in a speech at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. "The more heavily you regulate something, the less of it you're likely to get."
