The Federal Communications Commission yesterday approved changes to emergency alerts pushed out to cellphones.
The alerts about weather issues, Ambert Alerts and other emergencies now will be able to have web and phone number links, as well as longer text messages.
The links are said to allow government agencies to add photos and other important information to the alerts. The texts can now be 360 characters, up from 90.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
