Adidas to seek buyer for main golf business

German sportswear company Adidas yesterday announced plans to seek a buyer for TaylorMade, its main golf brand.

The company has struggled as the sport loses popularity, particularly in the United States, according to The Economic Times.

After launching a review of its golf unit last August, the company yesterday said it would focus on selling golf shoes and clothing under the Adidas label.
