Adele's '25' shatters one-week sales record

British singer Adele's latest album, "25," sold 3.38 million copies in the U.S. during its first week.

According to Billboard, the beats the previous record of 2.4 million copies held by NSYNC's 2000 album "No Strings Attached."

Adele's "25" becomes the first album to sell over 3 million copies in a week since Nielsen began keeping records in 1991.
