Give Ozarks raises over $546,000 at halfway mark

Community Foundation of the Ozarks’ second-annual Give Ozarks campaign crossed over the $546,000 mark by mid-day.

As of 11:50 a.m., the online fundraising campaign had $546,850 in donations. Comparatively, during last year’s campaign, the total was $563,643 just before noon. The 24-hour campaign raised $1.02 million for community causes last year.
 
The online nonprofit fundraiser at GiveOzarks.org utilizes Mostly Serious LLC’s crowdfunding portal Cause Momentum. This year, the event launched at midnight has nearly 225 participants, up from 150 last year. CFO officials are targeting a $1.5 million goal.

This morning’s top fundraiser is the Horses Assisting Youth Foundation, a Nixa organization that helps children with mental issues via equine therapy.

The top five nonprofits this morning by mid-day are:
    •    H.A.Y. Foundation, $35,582 through nine donors;
    •    The Arc of the Ozarks, $23,727 through 129 donors;
    •    Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation, $19,662 through 107 donors;
    •    Springfield Community Gardens, $14,610 through 28 donors; and
    •    the Webster County University of Missouri Extension, $14,324 through 106 donors.
