Wal-Mart accused of punishing workers for sick days

A workers' advocacy group on Thursday accused Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of punishing workers for sick days.

The retailer allegedly violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act, among other worker-protection laws.

According to the report by A Better Balance, Wal-Mart allegedly penalizes workers who need to take care of a sick family member and otherwise punishes employees for lawful absences.
