US bans imports of Brazilian beef

Brazilian beef imports are no longer welcome in the United States.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture yesterday announced a ban on the imports over public health concerns, including unsanitary conditions and animal health issues.

The ban will remain in place until Brazil "takes corrective action," officials said.
