Twitter suspends 377K accounts over terrorism concerns

Twitter announced it shut down over 377,000 accounts in the second half of last year for promoting terrorism.

That's a 60 percent increase from the last numbers provided by the company covering the February to August 2016 period.

Twitter officials said 74 percent of the accounts it suspended were discovered by internal, proprietary spam-fighting tools.
