A new report by Oxfam International found eight men now control as much wealth as the world's poorest 3.6 billion people.
They are Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Carlos Slim, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Amancio Ortega, Larry Ellison and Michael Bloomberg. Together, they're worth $426 billion.
According to the report, the richest 1 percent has owned more wealth than the rest of the planet since 2015. In the United States, the richest 1 percent control 42 percent of the wealth.
