St. Louis Public Library hacked for ransom

Hackers are asking for a ransom from the St. Louis Public Library to reopen the library's server.

Patrons were shut out of 700 public computers yesterday.

Hackers are demanding a certain amount of the digital currency bitcoin. Library officials have not said how much hackers want.

The hack is keeping books and other materials from being checked out. No personal data was stolen.
