Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet
opened Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet on May 10 at 1950 E. Kearney St., the former home of a Ryan’s buffet. “That was the biggest place I could find in Springfield,” Wu said of the 12,000-square-foot space leased from property owner CCCH Inc., according to Greene County assessor’s records. The 256-seat eatery features 12 buffet tables, with more than 300 items, including soup, sushi and entrees, as well as a hibachi grill station, allowing diners to choose their own ingredients and watch as their food is cooked. Wu said the restaurant employs 16 full- and part-time staff members and includes two private rooms available for rent. Buffet prices start at $6.99 for lunch. Hours: 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
