Five local professionals – each previous recipients of Springfield Business Journal awards – served on the 2012 Men of the Year judges panel. They are:

The second-annual class of Men of the Year has been chosen by an independent panel of judges and will be honored at an Aug. 31 luncheon.
The award recognizes the professional and civic achievements of 20 men from throughout southwest Missouri.

The Men of the Year luncheon will begin at noon Aug. 31 in the White River Conference Center, 600 W. Sunshine St. The event will include a fundraising auction for the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch. Tickets are $38 apiece, available at
