HSBC posts 62% earnings drop

British banking company HSBC reported $7.1 billion in 2016 profits, a 62 percent decrease from $18.9 billion a year earlier.

Officials cited several one-off charges, including the sale of its operations in Brazil.

Shares dipped 5 percent in London after the report was released.
