FDIC fills CIO role

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. announced Thursday it had appointed Lawrence Gross Jr. as chief information officer.

Gross succeeds Barry West, who was put on administrative leave in June for unknown reasons, according to Fedscoop.

At the time, Fedscoop was told West was out for personal reasons and remained an FDIC employee. However, he resigned in August and joined information technology consulting firm Mason Harriman Group.
