Cabela's laying off several dozen, closing call center

Cabela's is laying off several dozen people and closing its call center in Sidney, Nebraska, in order to reduce expenses.
The company plans to consolidate the center with another in North Platte, Nebraska. The exact number of layoffs will be determined after workers decide whether to apply for other jobs in the company.
A spokesman said the layoffs aren't related to the company's pending $4.5 billion buyout by Bass Pro Shops.
