Certified public accountant Alan Wenk entered a guilty plea after being charged with 20 counts of bank fraud.
The plea involves an embezzlement scheme at Lenexa, Kan.-based Performance Contracting Group that netted $135,000.
In his plea, Wenk admitted he submitted fake invoices from actual PCG vendors, resulting in the company issuing him checks. He would then cash them at his personal bank.
Wenk served as regional controller and corporate accounts payable manager.
