BlackBerry posts net profit after loss a year ago

BlackBerry reported first-quarter earnings of $671 million, reversing a loss of $670 million a year earlier.

Revenue in the quarter was $244 million, below analysts' expectations of $264.4 million.

BlackBerry shares fell around 6 percent following the release of the earnings reports.
