Asian millionaires now the wealthiest in the world

Asian millionaires now control more wealth than their peers in North America, Europe and other regions, according to a new World Wealth Report from consulting group Capgemini.

Asian millionaires' wealth increased by 9.9 percent in 2015. North America slowed to 2.3 percent growth.

In 2015, the total wealth of Asia's richest residents was $17.4 trillion, an increase from $8.4 trillion in 2006. In North America, that figure increased to $16.6 trillion last year from $11.2 trillion in 2006.
