Apple seeks to launch Apple Pay in China by February

By early February, Apple Inc. seeks to launch its Apple Pay electronic-payment service in China, people familiar with the plans told The Wall Street Journal.

According to the report, the Cupertino, Calif., company has penned deals with China's four big state-run banks.

The company could face regulatory hurdles in a market where banking and e-commerce are overseen by a number of government agencies.
