Amazon has permission to test drones for delivery in the United Kingdom.
The e-commerce giant announced today it formed a partnership with U.K. aviation regulators that will allow it to test and develop new drone delivery systems.
The Civil Aviation Authority gave the company the go-ahead to test drone flights that extend beyond the pilot's light of sight in both rural and suburban settings.
Though it has tested flights in the United States, Amazon hasn't been given that type of permission in its home country.
