Verizon's AOL signed its first major virtual reality ad deal after buying VR and 360-degree video company RYOT.
The deal valued at seven figures represents a partnership with American Family Insurance and media agency Mindshare.
The branded video series, written articles, social media posts and 360-degree/VR videos will focus on heroes inside their communities overcoming their challenges. It's scheduled to run from October through year's end.
