1.3M Android devices infected by hackers

Hackers have gained access to some 1.3 million Android phones since August, according to Forbes.

Using malware called Gooligan, the hackers have stolen users' tockens given to verify they are authorized to access accounts.

Forbes reports the main aim of the malware is to force users into downloading apps as part of a huge advertising fraud scheme, making as much as $320,000 a month.

Researchers from Check Point say Gooligan is spreading to an average 13,000 new phones per day.
