Editor’s Note: In Springfield Business Journal’s summer project report, 18 active construction jobs represent more than $271 million in investments and 1.8 million square feet of new construction, additions and renovations.
Although some area projects experienced delays due to supply chain issues, the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop construction in the Ozarks. That’s good news for the economy, as the industry represents $11.6 billion of the state’s gross domestic product, according to the Associated General Contractors of America.
Each of these projects in the summer report began with an idea. And in this construction phase, that idea moves from dream to reality. Brick by brick, these projects represent growth and progress in the community.
