The chair and CEO of Little Rock-based Encore Bank has resigned.
The company did not provide a reason for Chris Roberts' exit. Encore Bank Vice Chair and Chief Banking Officer Phillip Jett has been appointed acting CEO and chair.
Roberts reportedly said in a letter to Encore Bank stakeholders that he came "to the realization that it is time for me to step away and allow new energy to lead Encore Bank."
