Three locals are among the recipients of Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe's third-annual Women of Achievement Awards.
Rachel Anderson and Winter Kinne, both of Springfield, and Teresa Parson, of Bolivar, are scheduled to be honored during a March 14 ceremony at the Missouri State Capitol, according to a news release. Eleven women were selected statewide for the award, established in 2022 by Kehoe to recognize the accomplishments of Missouri women in conjunction with Women’s History Month.
“My life was greatly impacted by being raised by a single mother of six, and we created this award to honor the incredible accomplishments of women across Missouri,” Kehoe said in the release. “These recipients are diverse in talent and background, from agriculture to entrepreneurship and community service to leaders in veterans advocacy."
Anderson serves as executive director of Missouri State University's Efactory; Kinne leads Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. as president and CEO; and Parson is first lady of Missouri.
